I read an excerpt of this article in the September 2013 issue of Reader's Digest. It articulates the reason that our family history is so important, and how that knowledge can help our children and grandchildren cope with the challenges that they face in their lives. It reinforced that what I am doing has meaning, even if I don't post as often as I would like.
Every February, Lynn Palermo hosts a Family History Writing Challenge packed full of tips on how to write about your family history in a way that will inspire anyone to read and enjoy it as much as you do. Even though February 2014 is past, you can sign up and learn from this year's instruction.
